The motor and gear assembly system should also be maintained per the manufacturers specifications. Most electric power hoists are equipped with three (3) grease fittings. All grease fittings, as well as the gear teeth should be packed with grease to insure the mechanisms longcvlty. • Annually, the gear assembly should be cleaned of excess grease and re -greased to insure proper operation. Check all cables for broken strands. If strands are broken, the cables should be replaced. • Check cable clamps and tighten if necessary. • Replace cable every five (5) years.
