Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowners).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

As we discussed on the telephone, in 2006 I applied for and received a major CAMA
permit (No. 45730; please see attachment) for a dock and boat lift at the above -referenced
property (my home). As part of the plan, four mooring poles were approved, to be
installed in front of the dock, toward the "boat lift end" of the dock. Only two were
actually installed.
Being relatively new to boating, and never having designed a dock before, I thought at
that time that these mooring poles would be useful in their present location. As it turns
out, they are essentially useless in their present location (no one ties up their boat directly
behind the boat lift).
As such, I am asking for permission to make a refinement to my original plan. The
requested refinement would consist of moving the two mooring poles to a corresponding
location at the other end (non -boat lift end) of the dock. I intend to keep the poles in the
existing footprint of the dock (out no further than 25% of the creek, not within 15 feet of
my neighbor).
