Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Ben, I am sorry for the delay. When you called Wednesday I was on the way to the hospital with a violent case of
Vertigo. I am just now able to focus on my computer and see the documents. I am at home, and do not have access to a
fax.
Based on what I see below, you are rebuilding in the current footprint and are not asking me to waive the 15ft setback. If
I am correct in those assumptions, I have absolutely no objections to signing the form below. Perhaps your contractor
can use this email as the basis for starting the project, and I will return the fax on Monday for his records.
If your project will require me to waive the setback, I would prefer to walk the area with you and more fully understand
the situation before giving my consent.

dock just West of yours.
We plan to go back on the same "footprint" utilizing the same pilings and replacing some that are
broken, missing or too short. We may add a roof over the platform one day in the future. If you are okay
