Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

rescinded the permit. And we are in the process of refunding the permit fee.

Thanks Brad. I would suggest discussing with Ted. We would like the DCM GP rescinded,
especially if the boat lift has not been constructed yet.
Otherwise, we would need to initiate action to have it removed.

I hope that this email finds you doing well. This is a follow-up to a voicemail message I
left on your machine.
On June 8, 2011, I issued General Permit #57950C to Dennis and Sons Marine Construction for
the installation of a boat lift on an existing dock at 220 Churchgate Lane, Carteret County,
adjacent to Core Creek. On Monday, my supervisor brought to my attention that the ICW
channel setback line falls through the existing platform, and therefore the proposed boat
lift will also encroach into the setback by being beside the existing platform.

I apologize for not catching it before issuance. What should be my next course of action?
Shall I rescind the permit?
