The slope, or grade, of the project must not be so steep that it endangers the public or interferes with public use of the beach. ■ Bulldozer blades may not be lowered more than one foot as measured from the existing surface elevation. ■ Never bulldoze below mean low water. ■ General Permits limit the movement of sand from above mean high water only. ■ Beach bulldozing must not extend past the lateral boundary of your property, unless you have permission from the neighboring landowner. ■ This permit is to allow the creation of a protective berm or repair an eroded dune. It is not for the backfilling of undermined or damaged septic systems. Before covering a septic system, contact your local Health Department and Building Inspector to determine the extent of the damage, and whether a permit will be required to replace or relocate the system. • Remove debris, as it is uncovered. Do not bury or cover debris. • Make sure a copy of this authorization is on site during work.
