Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

We own the property adjacent to Lot #33, Plantation Harbor Subdivision, Havelock, NC. You
are listed as owner of Lot #33. State regulations require we notify you of our intention to
stabilize our 143' of shoreline using rip rap stone backed by erosion control fabric and our
intention to build a pier/dock on Lot #32 or 208 Sumter Court. Please find enclosed our
shoreline improvements sketch and a survey plat showing the entire lot & the shoreline. We
are sending certified mail letters to both adjacent property owners for compliance with the
Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) requirements and will be obtaining the required
general permits from CAMA as well. Also enclosed is the CAMA Adjacent Riparian Property
Owner Notification/Waiver Form. If you have no objections to our project, we request you
check the appropriate block, sign and complete the bottom of the form, and return the form in
the self addressed stamped envelope enclosed. If you have objections, please follow the
instructions on the form.
We will be removing all the trees within the CAMA line between the house and the shoreline
as allowed by general permit. We will reestablish vegetation as soon as possible after
installation of rip rap and associated filling and grading.
We appreciate your time and attention. We intend to start the project as soon as adjacent
property owner notification and response is complete and the CAMA permit is obtained.

Subject: RipRap of Shoreline for 208 Sumter Court, Plantation Harbor
As discussed on the phone on 4 November, I am ready to proceed with riprap of the
shoreline at 208 Sumter Court, Plantation Harbor.
I have enclosed the approvals from adjacent property owners, letters sent to adjacent
owners, and the sketch of proposed shoreline improvements showing riprap & dock for
your use in obtaining the CAMA permit from Brad.
Please only obtain the riprap permit (not the dock) as I may wait a while to do the dock.
I've enclosed a check for % of the $7900. This assumes $50/ft and $750 for tree removal
as provided by you when you met me on site a few months ago.
You stated that you could start the project in 3 weeks. Please contact me when you
intend to start so I can ensure the driveway is clear for your equipment.
