Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify thatthis project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Ms Barrett,
Thank you for your recent visit and input concerning the relocation of our gas pump
system. The attached sheet outlines more graphically our proposal to relocate the gas pump
and realign the accompaning docks.
Also, I spoke with Charlie Stehman in Wilmington concerning possible ground water
issues. He stated the project, as described, did not appear to present any ground water concerns.
He said he would confer with the staff member that handles our area: and, if there was a concern,
he would call back promptly. He did not call back.
Thank you again for your assistance and please find enclosed a check for $300 to cover
initial permit fees.

Proposal to relocate gas pump and accompanying ramps and docks.
I. Need: Increasing boat gas sales have created the need to re -design our boat gas
delivery system.
11. Rationale: 1. The re -location of "over water" gas pumps to "land based " gas pumps will
improve the opportunities for safer boat fueling.
2. The redesign and relocation of the gas dock area will reduce congestion and
provide for a safer approach and departure.

5 Provide a floating gas dock and ramp on the west side of the fixed pier
(6'X48').
6. Dredge area 1 and area 2 not to exceed 1000 cubic yards.
