SUBJECT: Pipe replacement on Waterway Dr., off SR 1553, Onslow County
Dear Mr. Arrington: APR 1 7 ?00`
Please find enclosed a CAMA General Permit Application for pipe replacement on Waterway Drive off SR
1553 in Onslow County. The scope of the project will be to bring the road up to DOT standards and add it
to the system. The total length of the project is 0.6 miles. The existing road has one culvert crossing that
serves as an equalizer pipe for a coastal wetland area at the project site. It is proposed to replace the
existing RCP pipe that is 18" X 30 ft with a 30" X 60-ft RCP pipe. Road alignment has been adjusted so
that no additional CAMA or 404 wetlands will be impacted by this project. Total impacts of this pipe
replacement project will be 0.008 acres of wetlands that are associated with AIWW, which is classified as
SA by the Division of Water Quality.
