The Iron Steamer Resort is immediately adjacent to and to the West of Beachwalk Condominiums. Beachwalk is a condominium project which is owned by individual owners and a homeowners association. It consists of a Motel, Res- taurant, Office and Fishing Pier. The property is 400 feet on the Ocean and a like amount on the Salter Path Road. The entire oceanfront is bulkheaded. The owners of the Iron Steamer Resort is a corporation known as Iron Steamer, Ltd. The officers are Sam McConkey, III and Sam McConkey, Jr. The address of the property is Hyw. #58, and the mailing address is Post Office Box 187, Atlantic Beach. The federal ID # is 56-1093107. The recent hurricane, Gordon, caused a portion of the easternmost bulkhead to collapse. The resulting erosion is threatening the septic tank system for the resort as well as several structures built on the property. While we are considering the situation of the bulkhead, we are requesting a permit for bulldozer -type replenishment of the eroded sand. I am enclosing a sketch of the property and the damaged section as well as the adjacent property owner non -objection, and a check in the amount of $50.00.
