RE: Renewal of CAMA Permit #13188; Riparian property owner
contact.
Dear Mr. Ruggiero:
You were contacted in November of last year in order to comment
on a proposed waterway crossing. A copy of the letter is
attached for review. The crossing was to be under Pine Knoll
Waterway and along property currently owned by the Pine Knoll
Association. Since that time, several unsuccessful attempts to
bore under the canal have been made.
Carteret -Craven Electric Cooperative is prepared to make another
attempt at crossing under the waterway. However, instead of
boring under the canal, we propose to jet the cable down below
the canal bottom. In order to perform this work and renew our
CAMA Permit, the Division of Coastal Management requires that
each riparian property owner be contacted once again.
Please forward any comments regarding this project to the
Division of Coastal Management at the address listed below. If
you do not respond with comments within ten days of receipt of
this notice it will be interpreted as no objection.
