This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.

Subject: Pier permit request, Lot #31
Letter to PBBOA Members -- Slip #'s: 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 & 18
As president of the Pirate Bay Boat Owners Assn, I am writing to apprise
you of a of a letter our secretary Dave Edwards received from the owner
of Buccaneer Bay, Lot #31. Lot #31 is directly adjacent to the "north"
of PBBOA Lot #30, on Smith Creek. This property owner has requested a
letter of concurrence from the PBBOA, for a pier they wish to install on
their property.
Only the boat slips to the north side of the PBBOA pier (slip #17
included) will be affected by this new pier. If you recall, boat slips
(12 thru 18) are situated with their water access openings facing north.
The installation of the above mentioned pier will encroach on water
access to these seven slips to varying degrees, depending on the type of
boat trying to gain access their respective slip.
I have included a plat drawing provided by the Busby's, depicting how
they view their pier is to be installed. They indicate it is to be a
"straight" pier (without a Tee) running parallel with the PBBOA pier.
They show a distance of 80 feet shall separate the south side of their
pier from the north side of the PBBOA "main" pier (not including "Tee"
at the creek end). I have also included a drawing of my own rendition,
which shows the PBBOA pier in "approximate scale" with the proposed
"Busby" pier. Keep in mind any boat tied up to the south side of the
proposed pier will further reduce access in and out of these seven (7)
slips.
Since the owners of these seven slips are only ones impacted, acting on
behalf of the PBBOA board, I felt it necessary to apprise each you for
your comments, rather than take unilateral action on this matter./Hour.
