Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Pursuant to the North Carolina Administrative Code, Title 15A, Chapter 7, Coastal Management,
Subchapter 7H, Section .1600 (enclosed), this letter is to inform you of our intent to place on overhead
line across Kershaw Creek, in an area classified as a wetland area, on Kershaw Road, near Kershaw Loop
Road, Pamlico County, North Carolina. As part of Tideland EMC's continuing effort to improve system
reliability, a line is to be constructed to tie two circuits together. This work will require the placing of
four new poles, just outside of the NCDOT right-of-way, along Kershaw Road, as shown on the enclosed
maps.
Please provide any comments on this proposed construction to the North Carolina Division of Coastal
Management within ten days of receipt of this notice. Not responding to this letter will be interpreted
as no objection. Work will begin on this project after the CAMA General Permit is approved and signed
easements are received from all affected property owners.

I am in receipt of the CAMA document in regard to the installation of power lines and a utility pole
adjacent to wetlands. I have no objection to the installation of these lines and a utility pole on my
property in Kershaw, NC, which is located adjacent to Kershaw Creek.
I have also been advised by Mrs. Mary Stancil of Tideland, that no chemicals will be sprayed on my
property to control vegetation growth.
