quirement pursuant to 15 NCAC 7K .0203. This exemption to
CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of
your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local authorization.

This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for 60 days from the date of issuance. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary
to continue this certification.
Any person who proceeds with a development without the con-
sent of a CAMA official under the mistaken assumption that the Applicant's signature
development is exempted, will be in violation of the CAMA if there
is a subsequent determination that a permit was required for the

The applicant certifies by signing this exemption that (1) the ap-
plicant has read and will abide by the conditions of this exemp-
tion, and (2) a written statement has been obtained from adjacent
landowners certifying that they have no objections to the
proposed work.

We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development permit. However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The proposed project and location is described as follows:
Construction of a pier (5' x 40, plus 5' x 48' and a side section
of 5' x 161) at your property in the Sea Vista Subdivision, lots #5 and
#6 in Oriental on Bonito Channel; Pamlico County, N. C.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be
necessary to renew this certification.

The Town of Oriental has reviewed ,your dock building proposal to
build a 48'long dock (on the water. 515 sq. ft. total) where
fewer than four boats will be docked, and found it to not be
applicable to the Oriental Growth Management Ordinance. Please
