Box 769 Morehead City, NC 28557 Ref Bogue Inlet Boatominium Channel Maintenance Dredging 3/4/94 I + : MAR 71994 N .0.NNM Dear Jim Thanks for your advice when we talked recently . I hope I followed your directions correctly .As indicated the inlet to our marina has filled in over the last ten years and re - quires about 3' of sand to be removed in an area 20' wide by 40' long . The total volume to be removed is approximately 90 cubic yards. We have reviewed the dredging plans with the property owners on each side of the area to be dredged and have their approval. You will note from the attached approvals that Mr. Steve Koroly approved our original 25' width request while Ms. Harriet Herring had concerns and we agreed on the 20' width. Present plans for handling the dredged material is to barge and off load it on the Roger W.Jones land until it drys sufficiently for transportation .1 have sketched in Mr. Jones's land, Ms. Herring's house and where the major portion of the dredged material will end up on a small map of the area. Also shown is the area to be dredged .Approx- imatly 60% of the material will end up on Ms. Herring's land and 40% at our marina to fill low spots around the seawall . Mr. Jones' land is high and is covered with normal lawn grass .The South or West side has a seawall with a boat basin where offloading would take place .The dredged material is sand spoils and will be relatively dry by the time it is off loaded .Is it possible we can truck the spoils to the final locations rather than containing it on Jones' land ? We have had Mr.Dick Dolgas of Atlantic Beach review and price the project and are in the process of locating others in the area to quote . Obtaining approval of the adjacent land owners took longer than planed. We are anxious to complete the project before May and would appreciate any suggestions you might have to expedite. I will be out of the state the week of March 7 but will be back home March 14 and can be reached there ;100 Leslie Drive Hubert NC 28539 Tel .# 910 326 7604 . Steve Hull [vice president of the marina] is fully knowledgeable of the project and can be reached at; 254 Nifong Rd. Clemmons NC 27012 Tel .# 910 764 3404 . Please call either of us with any questions you might have. Attached is a copy of the marina layout and a $ 50.00 check per your instructions . Many Thanks .
