This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Beach at Fort Fisher Memorial
Coordinating with Gehrig Spencer and Leo Dillard
We will be filming at the beach across Highway 421 from the museum, approximately J
where the movie °Linda" filmed. However, we will not be erecting any buildings. O
We will dress the beachfront with typical beach paraphernalia and with a free standing
life guard's stand.
We intend to access the beach front with 4 wheel drive pick-up trucks along the
paths already established.
Provided the archaeologists approve, we would like to place a camera platform
on the northern outcropping overlooking the beach, on which we would place our
dolly. The purpose of the platform is to protect the ground underneath. I am
enclosing a diagram showing the approximate placement of the platform, and a
diagram of the platform itself.
