Fort Fisher State Park Recreation Area
Coordinating this with Leo Dillard, the park superintendent.
There are three general areas that we intend to film. The first is along the dirt
access road to the ocean crossovers, between the paved road to the Aquarium and
Crossover # 1. We will sit a telephone booth on the road's shoulder, and film a brief
scene. We will not be off the road at this site.
The second area is the intersection of the access road and Crossover # 1, and the
path from there to the ocean front. The action we follow involves three people
parking an automobile on the shoulder of the road, where cars often park normally,
and walking out to the beach. Our only intrusion onto the dunes would be with a
camera on a tripod and possibly with lights on stands.
The third area is along the beach front between Crossovers # 1 and 2. We will
be accessing this area with 4 wheel drive pick-up trucks, but those vehicles will stay
along the established vehicle paths. Our action involves three actors cresting the top
of a dune. Our camera at this point will be on the beach itself. I have made everyone
aware that only light equipment, such as lights on stands and the camera on a tripod
would be allowed in the dune area.
Please see attached diagram as illustration.
