violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.

Please find the enclosed copy of General Permit #1 1627-A issued to the Schooner Ridge
Property Owners Association (SRPOA) for the construction of a 5 ft. wide walkway and pier
on their deeded easement adjacent to the Duck United Methodist Church. After reviewing your
objections and the recorded Deed of Casement our legal counsel gave us the go ahead to issue
the pier permit. The Deed of Easement clearly states that the Association may construct
walkways and piers to and from Currituck Sound within the easement. The proposed walkway
arid pier fall within the parameters allowed by our rules and the permit was issued accordingly.
