Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Tere,
Hopefully you have received my request for a Dock permit to be built on my property at 224 Hwy 70 in Bettie. I'm sorry that my letter was addressed to Mr.
Davenport rather than being addressed to you as there must have been a misunderstanding upon my first visit. You have been to my property and issued a
permit to install "Riprap" in front of my bulkhead in Feb. 03. (Rover file name L020620A). I have copies of all the paperwork if that would be of any help to
you. I know you are very busy, but please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your job any easier.
Earl Weeks will be the dock builder and he said he will be in the area very shortly. Anything you can do to expedite the permitting process would be greatly
appreciated. I would be happy to meet you on site to answer any questions. Looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.

to be constructed at the above location.
The subject property is located at 224 Highway 70, Bettie, Beaufort. Directions are:
the third driveway on the right after the North River Bridge. There is a mailbox at
the entrance to the driveway with the number 224. Follow the path to the end until
you come to a white house with green shutters.
I would appreciate your efforts to permit this pier/dock as soon as possible. Mr. Earl Weeks of
Intracoastal Marine Construction is going to be working in this area in the very near future.
If you need assistance or would like to meet me at the property please feel free to call me
