The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. We purchased our lot a few years ago, and over the last two years we've worked with an architect in Raleigh, to design our home. We've selected a local builder in Beaufort, and plan to begin building by the end of May, 2008. Attached are drawings showing a proposed perspective view, as well as the plot plan, showing the position of the home on the lot_ The yellow area on the plot plan shows the location of the home and the area in red represents a porch. Our plans call for us to place rip -rap along the shore to prevent erosion as well as build a dock. As part of the application process we are required to notify you of our intentions. You will receive a similar letter concerning our intentions to locate our home within the 75 foot setback area from the water. We'd appreciate you returning the enclosed form in the self addressed stamped envelop.
