We are very excited to have moved to such a wonderful neighborhood and look forward to meeting you soon. We have recently moved from New Bern and this will be our full time residence. We enjoy boating and fishing very much and would like to improve our docking facilities by installing uncovered boat lifts in both of the existing boat slips. The boat lifts will be located "inside" of the docks and the outmost pilings will be located approximately 6' seaward of the existing docks. The boatlifts will be located well within 1/4t" of the width of the canal as required by Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) rules. They should also not have any negative impact on your property and I have enclosed a drawing which shows this proposal. CAMA rules require that if any portion of a docking facility is within 15' of a neighbor's area of riparian access, a waiver most be obtained. Since the boat lifts will be within this 15' setback, I respectfully request that you approve of this proposal by signing the attached form.
