Once again, we are working with CAMA to extend the existing pier in order to handle a
larger boat.
We are working with CAMA and Coastal Management Solutions to arrive at the
proposed attachment. Although not final, Mary and I are hoping we can get this proposal
through. If you have any questions please give us a call and we will attempt to answer
them. If you would sign the Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statement and return it
to us in the enclosed envelope we would appreciate it.
Looks like Innerbanks Marine Construction did a nice job of repairing your pier. Hope to
see you soon.
Sincerely,
Andy Anton

Dear Steve:
This letter is in follow up to our site visit to the residence of Andrew Anton to
discuss the extension of his existing dock along Brown's Creek.
The existing dock (GP # 018785-C) has a 72 foot pier ending in a deck
measuring 12 feet by 32 feet. Mr. Anton wishes to add a pier extension of 25 feet (5
feet wide) waterward of the existing deck to be able to reach deeper water. At his
current slip the depth is approximately -3.5 feet (NWL) and by extending the pier the
available depth will be approximately -4.5 feet (NWL). Also, stationary step down
platform measuring 3 feet by 6 feet.
The Wildlife Resources Commission has placed red and green channel markers
along the center reach of Brown's Creek. These markers were placed there to provide
a navigable course in the Creek where there are no crab pots. The edge of the
alignment is approximately 80 to 90 feet from the end of the existing deck. Contact with
the WRC staff in Washington Field Office (Marie Trip) indicated the these were not geo-
located, and there location is not indicated on NOAA Charts through Mapteck.
The length of the existing dock is 104 feet from the shoreline and the requested
extension will provide a total length of 129 feet. The position of this pier extension was
noted in the field by the placement of PVC piping. This location is well within the 1/4
setback standard. According to DCM aerial photography in 2000 (#959) there are
several docks upstream from Mr. Anton's which measure150 feet in length.
Enclosed is the completed application for General Permit for Mr. Anton's pier
extension. We look forward to your favorable review and to the issuance of the GP as
requested.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your time and
assistance.
