Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . We request authorization to use this site for a period not less than six months. The maintenance dredging out of boating access areas is only expected to last three weeks; however, we will allow a de -watering period at our site prior to transporting the material. Depending on the weather, we feel that we may need this extra window of time. The spoil from each site is expected to be less than 1000 cubic yards of material. NC Wildlife Resources Commission — Division of Engineering Services will assume responsibility for all permits, clean up and/or damages caused by our use or crossing of the Ferry Division property. Also, our use of the site will not interfere with operations at the Ferry Terminals.
