The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . This form allows the adjacent riparian landowner to express either: (1) objection to the project or, (2) no objection to the project and the desire to waive the right to the 30-day period so that application processing can progress more rapidly. Of course, the adjacent riparian landowner may also choose to not sign the form at all.
