Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Utility Extensions
Town of Morehead City
The Town of Morehead City plans to extend its water and sewer system to serve a proposed
development at the east end of Land's End Road. Attached please find a copy of Plan Sheet 6
illustrating a 6" force main and 10" water line proposed to be constructed on Harbor Drive crossing
under Spooners Creek. Directional bores will be utilized for both the construction of the force main
and water line such that environmental impacts will be kept to a minimum within the "area of
environmental concern. "
It is believed a general CAMA permit will be required for the construction described above and
illustrated on the attached plan sheet. An attached check in the amount of $100.00 is included to
cover the cost of the permit. Copies of the letters notifying adjoining property owners of the
proposed work along with the "green card" return receipts are attached. An index map illustrating
the properties notified is also attached.

proposed project to adjoining riparian property owners. The purpose of this letter is to provide notice
of the project in accordance with the CAMA requirements.
Proposed improvements are expected to cost approximately $1,000,000 and require
approximately 6 months for construction. A 10" PVC water line will be constructed in the NC
Department of Transportation (NCDOT) right-of-way on the west side of Harbor Drive. A 6" DIP
force main will be constructed in the NCDOT right-of-way on the east side of Harbor Drive.
Property owners desiring to comment on the proposed work must do so in writing within
thirty (30) days of receipt of this notice. No response will be interpreted as no objection.
