The proposed construction of a boat ramp, boat basin, 350' of bulkhead and maintenance dredging in the canal will be contained completely within the applicant's riparian access area a:nd is consistent with North Carolina Administrative Code 07H. 1100, 1300 and 1500. Please note that 07H. 1304(a) requires such facilities to be non-commercial (See Attached), The project as proposed is consistent with the appropriate rules and regulations of the Division. Therefore, on 9 April 2002 Guy Pearce of my staff issued CAMA General Permit No. 30723•-B to Beaufort County authorizing the aforementioned project. (See Attached) If you wish to appeal thi; permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of the Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources within 20 days of the permit decision.
