Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . Box 769 Morehead City, NC 28557 Dear CAMA, T GOA The boat channel that Oceanfront Court has maintained since 1972 has filled in again. We are requesting that your office issue us a permit to remove approximately eight (8) cubic yards of sand at the end of the boat ramp. At this time, we do not want to try to dredge the entire length of the boat channel. All we want to do is dredge an area 10 feet wide and 12 feet long just beyond the end of the boat ramp so our customers can successfully launch their boats without hitting the bottom of the sound during the launching process at low tide which is 1 foot deep at times. We plan to use a backhoe tractor at the end of the ramp to scoop up the sand and take each bucket in turn up the ramp and drop them onto the street which is about 100 feet from the water's edge.
