SUBJECT: Request for Authorization of pipe replacement on SR 1308 in Washington
County under a CAMA GP .2300
The North Carolina Department of Transportation proposes to replace two aging
50 feet x 84 inch pipes with two 60 feet x 96 inch pipes located in a tributary of Deep
Creek on SR 1308 in Washington County. The pipes will be buried a foot to allow for
animal migration. Approximately 43 cubic yards of sediment will need to be removed
from the creek bed in order to place the pipes. No wetlands will be impacted by this
project. This project will not require construction of temporary detours, relocation of
utility lines, or any work channels.
I have enclosed a vicinity map, plat drawings, landowner signatures, and a check
to cover all permit costs. If you have any questions about this project, please contact me
immediately.
Sincerely,
Don Conner, PE
