This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

for dredging of our slip into Core Sound, all that is, except you. It is necessary for us to obtain 100%
approval from the property owners to be able to go ahead with this. I have left a voicemail on your
phone but hope you are checking your email. Seeking a permit to dredge does not in any way commit
you to any financial investment in this. We would not ask you for money for this as you do not use the
slip.
If you agree to seek the permit for dredging, please reply by email as soon as you can. WE would only
dredge the mouth of our slip which has silted over, but of course cannot dredge into the sound. what
we need to do is ecologically ok. Any questions, please email me. thanks so much.

The creek behind Bells Island is a soft bottom PNA. Dredging can only
be allowed if it is maintenance.dredging. If it is maintenance
dredging, we can not be very flexible on the dredging window due to the
fine sediments in the area - maybe a few days past the closure. mike
