Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowners).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

The Board of Directors of Spooner's Creek North:
I am in the process of purchasing Lot #1 at Spooner's Creek North. This particular lot
comes with Boat Slip #26 and is the reason for this correspondence.
Currently, slip #27 has a boatlift already in place utilizing the two pylons adjoining my
slip. Due to this, it will be necessary for me to have four (4) additional pylons placed in
order to secure a boatlift for my slip. I would like to place the pylons in a staggered
fashion in front of the current pylons on both sides (please refer to the attached
drawings). Side mountings had been suggested by one company that came and surveyed
the slip. But because the boat in slip #27 is a 28' Bertram this may put too much weight
on the pylon causing it to break or split.
Therefore, I am requesting the Board's approval for this proposal. I will be happy to
provide you with any additional information or answer any questions you may have. I
appreciate your consideration and look forward to residing in Spooner's Creek North.
