I tried to explain the procedures (exemption vs General vs Major) and her appeal rights if a permit was issued. I did commit that she would be notified by the applicant and would be informed of any permit decision when made. I called Larry Smith with the County and told him of the situation and that they were not able to issue an exemption for the pier. Larry said that J.D. O'Neil was responsible for the Mill Creek area and he would pass the word to him. Arnold also thinks that a Mr. Ennis may also try to get a pier permit to go over another section of her lease. Keep your eyes out for this one and let me know if you receive any request from these folks.
