This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.

Re: BOATLIFT SLIP NUMBER 20
Dear Jim:
You are aware that we have constructed a boatlift in slip number 20 and did not
get a permit from the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management. We would
like to reconstruct another boatlift in our same slip. We will construct this
boatlift within the boundaries of our slip and we will not infringe on any of
your water rights. We are also planning to purchase a trailer so we will not
have the problems that we encountered during Bertha:
According to the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management, we must obtain
letters of no objection from each adjacent riparian property owner. Since you
own an adjoining slip, number 22, we are asking that you complete the enclosed
form and return it to us.
We are enclosing a self-addressed, stamped, envelope for your convenience. If
you have any questions or objections, please contact me.
Thank you for your help and the verbal permission that you gave us before. We
have already contacted the MSA Board for their approval in writing also. We had
obtained verbal permission before so we do not anticipate any problems.
