This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

The Division of Coastal Management has reviewed your 18 July 2001 correspondence
objecting to the above referenced project. The pier as proposed will be contained completely within
Mr. Rhyne's riparian access area, and will be set back a minimum of 15' from the riparian limit on
your side (North Carolina Administrative Code 07H.1200, See Attached). The project as proposed
is consistent with the appropriate rules and regulations of the Division: Therefore, on 8 August 2001
Steve Trowell of my staff issued CAMA General Permit No. 27763-B in Tyrrell County authorizing
the aforementioned project. (See Attached)
. If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of the
Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources within 20 days
of the permit decision. I have enclosed a copy of the permit. If you have any questions regarding this
