This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Attached is General Permit #C-27042 to install 115 ft. of rock rip rap immediately waterward
of existing bulkhead in Carteret County adjacent to Bogue Sound at Oceanfront Court MHP off
Hwy 58 in Salter Path.
In order to validate this permit, please sign all three (3) copies as indicated. Retain the white
copy for your files and return the yellow and pink signed copies to us in the enclosed, self-
addressed envelope.

Dear CAMA,
Recent hurricanes and Northeast storms have washed away a 90 foot section
of the marsh in front of our Bogue Sound seawall. Additionally, the
overwash onto the lawn behind the seawall is soaking into the soil and the
saturated soil is slipping under the footing of the concrete block seawall.
In a conversation with Spencer Rogers, Sea Grant, he suggested that we
arnior the seawall with large rock and place filter cloth under the rock and up
the face of the wall. This solution will solve three problems:
1. The bulk of the rock will stop the present waterward Movement of
the sea. wall.
2. The rock will disperse the wave energy and reduce overwash.
3. The filter cloth will greatly reduce the migration of soil from behind
the sea wall to the sound side.
Oceanfront Court would like to proceed with this project. Attached is a
diagram to show the concept of the work and the Adjacent Riparian. Property
Owner approval.
