Department of Environment and Natural Resources Division of Coastal Management Morehead City, North Carolina FEB 21 3 2001 The Board of Directors of Salty Shores Canal Owners Association, Inc., met on February 20, 2001, to review application of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Armstrong for installation of a boat lift on Lot #13, 143 C Street. Directors present at this meeting were George C. Walton, Alton R. Rouse, Sue Hubbard and David Weeks. Proposed plan is attached with our seal affixed. The application was approved as follows: The applicants are to obtain CAMA and building permits as may be required by law prior to beginning construction and the notification of adjoining property owners. No portion of boat lift structure will exceed 1/4 (one fourth) of the distance of the canal from bulkhead to bulkhead. Measurements to include pilings supporting the boat lift. Canal width is 63 feet at this location. Construction will not exceed 15 3/4 feet from the bulkhead including pilings. Contractor may alter position of pilings parallel to the bulkhead to compensate for existing construction and to insure proper operation of boat lift. Contractor will be responsible to the Salty Shores Canal Owners Association, Inc. for insuring that width restriction of 15 3/4 feet is not exceeded.
