This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local authorization. This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Following expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to continue this certification. Division of Coastal Management 151-B Highway 24 Hestron Plaza II Morehead City, North Carolina 28557 Dear Mr. Jones: I have spoken with my neighbors the Goodmons and Chris Wade on Sunset Drive about their plans to repair an old concrete bulkhead with either stone boulders or wooden pilings on the sound side of their property between the CAMA stakes which mark the site of repair. I understand that the bulkhead will be backfilled with gravel, sand, and soil and that natural grasses and turf will finish off the project. I have no problems with the Goodmons and Chris Wade completing this project. As adjacent neighbors, we have no objection to a bulkhead, rock, or ripwrap wall being constructed.
