DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE
Provide a brief description of the change, the anticipated_ date on which the change will occur, and any permit term or condition no longer applicable as a result of the change. Attach a process flow
diagram if relevant.
The Butacite® Process' polyvinyl butyral flake dryer dust emissions are controled by a cyclone separator(ID No. BCD-Cl)followed by a
"Baghouse"that is comprised of 540 fabric filter bags, each 100 inches long. Currently the Baghouse filter bags total 6,858 square feet of filter
area. To comply with a National Fire Protection Association standard (NFPA 68 Section 8.7), seventy six(76) of the filter bags closest to the
Baghouse's rupture panel must be shortened from 100 inches to 36 inches so as to not obstruct the rupture panel's pressure relief area. This will
result in a reduction of filter area from 6,858 square feet to 6,245 square feet. The flow rate though the Baghouse will remain 45,000 ACFM.
