Total Particulate Matter Emissions Testing of ES-2 Boiler
Performed October 16,2018 by Environmental Source Samplers, Inc. (ESS)
Tracking No. 2018-270st
ESS performed EPA Method 5/202 to determine the total particulate matter(PM)from wood-fired boiler
ES-2. The test results are acceptable to demonstrate compliance with the applicable emissions limits.
The maximum per heat input rate for Boiler ES-2 is 13.9 million Btu per hour(mmBtu/hr). Emissions are
controlled by multicyclone CD-2. 15A NCAC 2D .0504 Particulates From Wood Burning Indirect Heat
Exchangers applies. Total PM emissions are limited to 0.46 pounds per million Btu(lb/mmBtu). The
test results are tabulated below. 40 CFR 63 Subpart JJJJJJ National Emissions Standards for Hazardous
Air Pollutants for Industrial Commercial and Institutional Boilers Area Sources also applies.
