Upon review, the test procedures and results are considered acceptable and demonstrate compliance with the applicable regulations. The medium density fiberboard (MDF)process is comprised of refiner ES-01, energy system ES-02-A, two stage dryer ES-02-B, natural gas fired dryer burners ES-02-C-I and ES-02-1), MDF board cooler ES-0613, and MDF press and press hall ES-16. These sources all vent to the biofilter CD-18. 40 CFR 63 Subpart DDDD NESHAPS: Plywood and Composite TVood Products applies. The emissions test results demonstrate compliance with the requirements of 63 Subpart DDDD. Testing was performed simultaneously at the inlet and outlet of CD-18. The emissions test results demonstrate compliance with the applicable regulations. The medium density fiberboard(MDF)process is comprised of refiner ES-01,energy system ES-02-A, two stage dryer ES-02-B,natural gas-fired dryer burners ES-02-C-1 and ES-02-D,MDF board cooler ES-06-B, and MDF press and press hall ES-16. These sources vent to the biofilter CD-18. 40 CFR 63 Subpart DDDD NESHAPS.Plywood and Composite Wood Products applies and Table 1B provides six options for complying with the standard. Arauco Panels chose to comply using option 5 by reducing formaldehyde emissions by 90%. A summary of the emissions test results is shown in the table below. The emissions test results demonstrate compliance with the requirements of 63 Subpart DDDD.
