Taylorsville, North Carolina Alexander County 03/0200038—Small Air Permit No. 02799R09 Dear Mr. Sipe: Air Permit No. 02799R09 was issued to Sipe Lumber Company, Inc., Taylorsville, Alexander County,North Carolina on May 26, 2015; with an effective date of May 26, 2015. Specific Condition and Limitation No. A.7. of said,permit states in part: "...the Permittee shall perform, at a minimum, an annual (for each 12 month period following the initial inspection) internal inspection of the cyclone system." Ms. Sandra Sherer of this office performed a partial compliance evaluation of your facility,on June 19, 2020. During that evaluation, Ms. Sherer found that an annual internal inspection of the cyclone had not been conducted within a 12-month period since the last annual internal inspection conducted on April 3, 2019. The last two internal inspections of the cyclone were conducted on April 3, 2019 and March 5, 2020. Therefore, this Notice of Violation is issued to Sipe Lumber Company, Inc. for violation of Air Permit No. 02799R09 Specific Condition and Limitation No.A.7. It is requested that a written response to this Notice of Violation be submitted to this office as ' soon as possible, but no later than ten days following receipt of this notice. Your response should describe any corrective actions that have been taken by the company to assure compliance with the referenced permit condition at all tunes.
