Dear Mr. Blalock,
This is to acknowledge receipt at the Winston-Salem Regional Office, on December 29,2020,
of the Protocol Submittal Form for the carbon monoxide(CO)and filterable particulate matter(PM)
emissions tests scheduled for February 2,2021 at the above referenced facility. The emission source
to be tested is the wood fuel-fired boiler(B-4). A copy of this Protocol Submittal Form will be
forwarded to our Stationary Source Compliance Branch in Raleigh for review. They will notify you of
the results of that review when it is completed.
The instructions for the Protocol Submittal Form state that the form should be submitted at
least 45 days prior to testing to allow the Division sufficient time for review. Your submittal did not
meet this requirement for the tests scheduled for February 2, 2021. Should you conduct the test
without receiving approval from the Stationary Source Compliance Branch,the test may not be
