Dear Mr. Palmore:
On July 29, 2021, this office received the emailed results from EPA Method 9 tests performed July 29,
2021 at the subject facility. The EPA Method 9 test results were reviewed and found to be acceptable
and demonstrate that the new screen, and stacker conveyor were in compliance with the applicable
visible emission standards during the testing period. The screen, and conveyor are subject to 40 CFR 60
New Source Performance Standards Subpart 000.
As required by 40 CFR 60 Subpart 000, including Subpart A "General Provisions": For affected
facilities constructed, modified, or reconstructed on or after April 22, 2008 the emission limits for
crushers is 12% opacity; the emission limit for fugitive emissions from conveyor belts, screening
operations, and other affected facilities is 7% opacity. The test results indicate that the highest six-
minute average during the testing period was 0% opacity.
As a reminder,40 CFR 60 Subpart 000 contains specific directions for the scheduling of future visible
emissions tests for conveyors, screens, and crushers. if you have any questions concerning this matter,
