Facility ID 0700152, Permit Exempt
Carbon Monoxide Emissions Testing of Diesel Peak Shaving Engines ES-1 and ES-2
Performed March 16, 2021 by Environmental Source Samplers Inc. (ESS)
Tracking No. 2021-043st ES-1 Store 144 [1345 US Highway 264 East]
CAT Model 3406 519hp(source description),S/N 1DZ6754(reported 400kw/575hp)
Tracking No. 2021-177st ES-2 Store 2220 [851 Washington St]
CAT Model 3406 519hp/350kW,S/N 1DZ06756
ESS performed EPA Method 3A for oxygen and EPA Method 10 for carbon monoxide (CO)emissions
from the diesel peak shaving engines ES-1 (Store 144)and ES-2 (Store 2220).The emissions test results
demonstrate compliance with the applicable regulations.
40 CFR 63 Subpart ZZZZ National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Stationary
Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines(RICE NESHAP) applies and limits CO emissions to 23 parts
per million by volume dry corrected to 15%oxygen (ppmvd@15%02) OR requires at least 70% reduction
of CO emissions. The facility chose to demonstrate compliance with the exit concentration limit. The
test results and operating parameters are tabulated below.

63 Subpart ZZZZ states the engine shall be tested at the maximum rated electrical output±10%.The
pressure drop (AP)across the catalyst shall be maintained within ±2 inches of water(in.1-12O)from the
value established during the initial performance test. The catalyst inlet temperature shall be maintained
>_4509F and:513509F.
ES- 1 averaged 145.8 kW(42%of maximum output) and ES-2 averaged 145.5 kW(42%of maximum
output) during testing. The results are acceptable for the tested operating ranges. Additional testing
may be required to establish the catalyst AP and inlet temperature if the engines operate at higher rates
in the future. The CO test results demonstrate compliance with 40 CFR 63 Subpart ZZZZ. If you have any
