It is currently in construction. No problems were observed.The facility is in compliance with the Date of Signature: permit. Directions: The facility is located on Highway 308 West,Lewiston Woodville, Bertie County. Directions from WARD: 1. Follow Highway 17 N to Windsor. 2. Go through the first stoplight(there is a funeral home on the right). 3. At second stoplight,turn left onto Highway 308 West. 4. Follow 308 all the way to Lewiston Woodville. Continue on Highway 308 to the Perdue Farms facility,which is on the left just north of the town. 5. Turn left at Perdue. Go past the processing plant.W.E.Partners is then on the right and in front of the rendering plant. Safety Concerns • There is much traffic for construction. On the facility is in operation,be careful around the fuel bunker. There are unloading activities and truck traffic. • Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs,and steel-toe shoes are required. • Be aware of trip hazards. • Once in operation much of the equipment will be hot, so do not touch anything. Inspection Observations On August 3, 2011, I visited the site to confirm that it was still under construction. So far, the concrete has been laid for the fuel bunker. There wasn't any other obvious large scale construction in progress. No problems were observed. W.E. Partners expects to have the facility in operation by the end of the year.
