Industrial Dri ve Zebulon, NC 27597 En1,ironmenr:il Qua/'t'r December 10, 2020 Subject: Braven Environmental (Golden Renewal Energy) Zebulon, Wake County, North Carolina Facility ID 9200848, Penn it No. l 0672R00 Emissions Testing of Plastic Pyrolysis Unit ES 1 Perfom1ed Febrnary 21, 2020 Tr~cking No. 2018-238ST Dear Mr. Batterjee: The results of the subject EPA Method 5/202 for total particulate matter (PM), EPA Method 6C for sulfur dioxide (SO2), EPA Method 7E for nitrogen oxides (NOx) and EPA Method 25A for volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions testing from the plastics pyrolysis unit ES l have been reviewed by the Division of A ir Quality's Stationary Source Compliance Branch. The emissions test results are acceptable. The tested emissions source, plastics pyrolysis unit, ES I is controlled by a natural and synthetic gas-fired flare CD I. The plastics pyrolysis unit is subject to 15A NCAC 20 .0515 Particulates from Afiscellancous Industrial Processes. 20 .0515 limits total PM based on the actual production rate. Braven reported processing 2,060 lbs of plastics per hour; the PM emissions limit is 4.1 8 pounds per hour. The emissions rate during the testing was 0.51 lb .lhr., thus demonstrating compliance.
