Er"' All forms and supporting documentation appear to be complete if paper submission ( check ED OS data if electronic).
cg./'contact, address, phone number changes entered into I-Beam/Facilities if necessary.
Q/' All known operating scenarios, control devices, and emission release points have been entered for each emission
source (permitted, insignificant, and unpermitted) or note that the emission source was not operated or not required to report.
!lY"Check if SCC codes for each OS are accurate and update if needed.
~Evaluate "U" sources for significance and address according to policy. /V /,,4.
a/' Calculations I forms appear to add up correctly.
a.---' All compliance issues are being addressed (e.g. Toxics limits, above TV thresholds, large emissions
increase/decrease, installation without a permit).
~All volatile HAPs/TAPs were included in the VOC total.
~alculations and control efficiencies appear correct. Emission factors are the best available and most current factors
appropriate for the reporting facility (e.g. stack testing, AP-42, etc.).

AEROOS-41
The valve body anodizing stations employ a dilute solution of sulfuric acid to anodize parts. Uncontrolled
emission estimates were derived from calculations contained in the March 1, 2002 permit application
using a mass balance approach and a worst-ease estimate of annual anodizing solution usage. Based
on the calculation from the 2002 permit application and factoring up for current production levels
yields the following·
5,735 gat of 50% sulfuric acid solution used; cut with 9: 1 water
57,350 gal of 5% sulfuric acid solution after dilution
0.1% solution emitted to the air from dripping and some sp!ashing during dragout
57.35 gal solution emitted to the air from dripping and some splashing during dragout
2.9 gal sulfuric acid emitted to the air from dripping and some splashing during dragout
1. 39 specific gravity of sulfuric acid
8.34 lbs water/gal
11.63 lbs sulfuric acid/gal
33.35 lbs sulfuric acid/yr emitted per valve body anodizing station
0.0167 tons sulfuric acid/yr emitted per valve body anodizing station
1 total valve body anodizing stations
0.0167 tons sulfuric ae1d/yr emitted total
33 35 lbs sulfuric acid/yr emitted total

' Evaporative losses for paint gun cleaner are estimated to be the difference between the amount of chemical added and the amount recovered at change
out services.
2 Chemical data for Super 16 Paint Gun Cleaner obtained from safety data sheet When chemical component composition or specific gravity is stated as a
range, calculations conseivatively assume the upper bound of the range.
