Semi-Annual NSPS Report
Dear Regional Air Quality Supervisor:
In accordance with condition A.5 c.iv. of the above-referenced air permit for the Arclin
USA, LLC facility in Moncure,North Carolina, we are providing information related to
the performance of the thermal oxidizer which controls emissions from the MF-2
formaldehyde manufacturing unit at the site. Information provided is from the
monitoring period July through December, 2021.
There were no 3-hour periods of operation when the average combustion temperature was
more than 28"C below the average combustion temperature recorded during the last
performance test.
All periods when the control device was down, or when the vent stream was diverted
from the control device, were associated with an outage of the process manufacturing unit
(MF-2). All process unit and control device outages are detailed in the enclosed table.
