Emissions Testing of ES-9 External Heat Exchanger

Dear Mr. Zarzar,
The Stationary Source Compliance Branch office has reviewed the results from the EPA Method 5/202 test
for total particulate matter(PM) of the external heat exchanger(EHE)ES-9. The test results are
acceptable to determine compliance with the applicable standards.
Emission source ES-9 is an external heat exchanger with a 70 ton per hour nominal capacity. 15A NCAC
2D .0515 Particulates from Miscellaneous Industrial Processes applies to ES-9 and limits total PM
emissions to 42.3 pounds per hour. The test result for Total PM is 1.45 pounds per hour(<42.3 pound/hour
limit). The results are acceptable to demonstrate compliance.
