Notice of Murphy-Brown deviation and corrective action pursuant to 40 CFR 63 7D.
During our onsite inspection on October 15th it was discovered that Murphy-Brown had been
receiving Trace mineral in bulk and not in bag form. The State had not been notified of this. This
was directly due to miscommunication and lack of knowledge on Murphy-Brown's behalf. Since
the inspection housekeeping requirements and records have changed to accommodate the
manganese in the Trace mineral.
Murphy-Brown / Bladenboro Mill strives to comply with all applicable regulations and takes its
role in protecting the environment seriously! Please be assured that steps have been taken to
ensure this issue does not happen again. Your continued guidance is greatly appreciated as we
bring management stability to the Bladenboro Facility.
