Dear Ms. Carter:
Piedmont Natural Gas, Inc.(Piedmont)is submitting nitrogen oxide emissions during the 2020 ozone
season for the Wadesboro Compressor Station located at 379 Pleasant Grove Church Road in
Wadesboro,Anson County,North Carolina. These compressors,which operate under North Carolina
Division of Air Quality(DAQ)Permit No. 10097TO2,burn natural gas exclusively.
As stated in permit condition 2.1.A.41,the facility is required to submit a report by October 31 of
each year documenting the total nitrogen oxide emissions from May 1 to September 30. This letter
serves as the annual ozone season nitrogen oxide emissions report for 2020.
A table listing the nitrogen oxide emissions for each of the internal combustion engines at the facility
is attached. Four(4)of the eight(8)permitted four-cycle lean burn internal combustion reciprocating
engines have not yet been installed at the Wadesboro Compressor Station. Therefore,there were no
emissions during the reporting period from these units. In addition,the emergency generator(EGO 1)
has a maximum horsepower rating below the requirement for this rule. Therefore,no emission data
for EGO is included.
