Dear Ms. Hartsfield:
General Shale Brick("GSB") is required by the above referenced permit to submit a quarterly report within 30
days after each calendar quarter.GSB received a Notice of Deficiency for failure to submit a quarterly report
within 30 days after the second calendar year quarter or July 30, 2021.As required by Section A.11.b of the
permit.
b) Reporting Requirement-For compliance purposes, within 30 days after each calendaryear quarter,
regardless of the actual emissions, the following shall be reported to the Regional Supervisor, DAQ:
i. The maximum hourly combined feed rates for kilns 1 and 2(ID Nos. ES-K1 and ES-K2)and
for the kilns 3 and 4(ID Nos. ES-K3 and ES-K4)during each day of the reporting quarterly.
It is GSB's belief the report may have been lost or misplaced by the USPS so a report was submitted August 19,
2021. GSB will submit all reports via USPS certified mail, FedEx or UPS in order to facilitate tracking information
in the future.
